Well the baby crib is almost complete. My friend Kurt and I have been working on it for the last few weeks. He has a wood shop and has done this two times before. At this point everything is done except the sanding, assembly and staining. This project has been a lot of fun and it will be great for my kids to have this someday. I'm hoping it will mean a lot to them that I made it.
Crystal and I are very excited. We had our first baby shower on saturday and got all kinds of stuff. Our house is ready for a baby and so are we. There is so much baby stuff all over. I can't wait to start using everything.
We have been very busy with projects around the house. My Dad and I tore off the florida room from the back of our house because the previous owners had built it rather poorly. It is so nice to be able to see straight into the backyard now. The only downside is that the dog comes in with muddy feet everytime due to the lack of grass behind the door. Hopefully our plans of building a deck in the spring will work out.
As of today we have 8 more weeks until our due date but only 5 weeks until she is "term", meaning the baby could come at any time. We still don't know if it is a girl or a boy. I think I want to know, but Crystal really wants the first one to be a suprise. Our names are Kylie Michele and Brock Stephen. I have gone through a spurt where I really wanted a boy and where I really wanted a girl, but at this point I honestly will be happy regardless.
