I am so very thankful for DVR. Mainly because I hate commercials and now I never have to watch them. This political season has been far more bearable and I never have to hear about how I need auto insurance quotes every 5 minutes. The unfortunate side effect is that products are now resorting to product placement within the show you are watching. That isn't quite as annoying on most shows. The Biggest Loser is the bad example. They write commercials into the dialogue. Man is it annoying.
