Texas

I don't think that my kids are ever going to believe that Texas is a real place. I have a tendency to stick to the same jokes once I've found ones that I like. This happens because things almost never stop being funny to me no matter how many times my brain encounters them.

When Kylie was younger she used to ask the same questions over and over and over and over, and was never satisfied with the correct answer no matter how many times you gave it. So out of boredom I started giving nonsense answers once it had gone past my point of patience. "Texas" was always my answer of choice to questions about where something or someone was or went to and before long became my answer to everything.

So now I have to try hard not to say "Texas" to every question my kids ask. I'm sure it annoys them at this point and I don't want to get to the point where I'm the annoying Dad that always makes the same stupid jokes over and over. Luckily my oldest is only 4 so I have time to change this bad habit.
